Fusible links are designed to separate at specific temperatures, releasing tension from the fusible link detection line and causing system actuation. Correct fusible link selection is an essential element in the design of any restaurant fire suppression system. After performing a temperature study to determine the maximum ambient temperature at the fusible link location, the correct fusible link should be selected from the following chart:
